Dental medicine and dental technology have been a regular topic of conversation in our family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather was a dentist, and my father's dental laboratory - in its day the largest in Wuppertal - was located in the basement and an outbuilding connected to our home in Wuppertal.


While my sister Birgit turned to veterinary medicine and now has a small animal practice in Stuttgart-Birkach (http://www.birgit-drescher.de), I followed the family tradition, studied dental medicine and in 1990 took over an existing dental practice in Bad Cannstatt.
